Prof. Douglas Natelson

Prof. Natelson's research focuses on the electronic and magnetic properties of atomic and molecular-scale systems, strongly correlated nanostructures, and organic semiconductor devices.

Biography:
Douglas Natelson is an associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rice University. He received a BSE in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton in 1993, followed by a PhD in physics from Stanford University in 1998. Following his doctorate, he spent two years at Bell Labs as a postdoctoral member of technical staff before taking his position at Rice in 2000. He also has a courtesy appointment in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is chair of the Applied Physics graduate program.
