Jay Groves' research interests are in the physical chemistry and biology of cell membranes, signal transduction, and model membrane systems. His research group investigates these topics using biophysical spectroscopy and imaging, and by interfacing synthetic materials with living cells.

Biography:
Jay Groves received his BS in Physics and Chemistry from Tufts University and his PhD in Biophysics from Stanford University. He is currently a professor in the Chemistry Department at UC Berkeley.
